Osho on the Dance of Being

"Man is a bridge, between the animal and the divine – and our

awareness of this dual aspect of our nature is what makes us human." — Osho

Existence, in Osho’s vision, is not a fixed destination but a fluid, living process—a cosmic dance in which all beings are participants. It is not something we master or conquer, but something we are. To live in tune with existence is to surrender to this dance, to recognize that life flows like a river—ever-changing, ever-renewing, and eternally present.

In works like The Journey of Being Human and Beyond Enlightenment, Osho invites us to explore this sacred flow by stepping out of the rigid boundaries of ego and identity. He speaks of human beings not as final products, but as processes—as bridges. On one side, we carry the instincts of our animal past: survival, fear, desire. On the other, we hold the potential of the divine: love, awareness, transcendence.

To be human, Osho teaches, is to walk this bridge with awareness—to neither reject the animal nor fantasize the divine, but to integrate, observe, and evolve. The moment we become conscious of this dynamic within us, we begin to participate in a greater unfolding. We stop striving to become something, and start being more deeply, more fully, more authentically.

June, with its blossoming warmth and lengthening days, mirrors this inner journey. It is a time of transition—no longer the fresh promise of spring, not yet the fullness of summer. Like us, nature is in motion, expanding toward light. In this unfolding, we are invited to expand, too: to soften the grip of our limitations and open to the vastness within.

Osho’s wisdom gently reminds us that existence does not demand perfection—it only asks for presence. When we become aware of our dance—when we stop resisting life and start moving with it—we touch something timeless. We begin to live not as isolated selves, but as part of the whole. Not as beings trying to control the rhythm, but as music itself.

This June, may we dance freely—beyond the self, into being.

THE SILENCE OF JUNE:OSHO’S ACTIVE MEDITATION

In the fullness of June—when nature is bursting with life, color, and movement—silence may feel faraway. Yet Osho reminds us that true silence is not the absence of sound, but the presence of awareness. His Active Meditations are designed to help modern minds shed restlessness and enter that still space within.

One such transformative practice is Nadabrahma Meditation,a beautiful method using humming and subtle movements to harmonize body, mind, and soul. Unlike traditional seated meditation, this active approach allows energy to flow, tension to release, and awareness to deepen naturally.

Nadabrahma Meditation – A Step-by-Step Guide

Duration: 1 hour (can be shortened to 30 minutes for daily practice)

Stage 1: Humming (30 minutes)

1. Sit comfortably, eyes closed, lips gently together.

2. Begin to hum—not loud, just enough for you to feel the vibration inside your body.

3. Let it become effortless, almost like a lullaby to your being.

4. Allow your body to sway if it wants to. Melt into the sound.

Stage 2: Hands Movement (15 minutes)

1. Divide into two parts, 7.5 minutes each. Keep your eyes closed.

2. First, slowly move your hands in a circular motion outward—from the navel,

forward, then outward and back again. Feel as if you're giving energy to existence.

3. Then, reverse the motion—bring your hands inward in a circular motion, as if

you're drawing energy into yourself.

4. Let the breath remain natural. Be fluid, graceful.

Stage 3: Stillness (15 minutes)

1. Sit silently. Do nothing. Just be a witness.

2. Let all effort drop. Be in the center of your being. Feel the after glow of your own presence.

Practitioner Reflection

“Nadabrahma changed how I understood meditation. I used to think silence meant sitting still and fighting thoughts. But with humming, I felt I could dissolve into the sound—like a drop in the ocean. Afterward, my whole body feels like a soft echo of peace.” — Aarti, 29

“Doing this in the early morning under the trees has been magical. I stop being a ‘doer’ and just become a rhythm, a breath, a vibration. The tension in my chest just... melts.” — Jay, 41

Dissolving into the Beyond : A Guided Meditation for June

Sit quietly under the June sky. Feel the warmth on your skin, the breeze in your breath. Let your body relax and your mind soften. Watch your thoughts like clouds—they come, they go. You are not the cloud. You are the sky.

Breathe in deeply... and breathe out with awareness. Let the moment expand. There is nowhere to go, nothing to do. Just be.

Feel the pulse of life in your chest. The hum of the world around you. You are not separate—you are existence itself. Dissolve into it. Let June carry you into silence, not as an escape, but as a homecoming.

Let this be your invitation to explore the active stillness within—where breath becomes prayer, movement becomes meditation, and silence becomes your true nature. Carry this awareness gently through your month, and let June be your teacher in the art of being.
